Mery Sapotito is the most sought-after Italian artist in the worlds of fashion and live sketching. She began her first collaborations with luxury brands at the age of 18. Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada, Chanel, and Patek Philippe are just a few of the brands she has worked with. Her strokes tell stories that feel as fresh as a window thrown open to the sky. She steps into a painting, poses for a photoshoot, wears stilettos, and captures the emotions of anyone before her. Her entrepreneurial spirit combined with her artistry has led to the creation of her Made-in-Italy clothing brand, reflecting her unique personality. Her signature style is defined by eyes, red lips, and a chic bun, paired with her sweetness and the speed of her drawing.

For our Friulane shoes, we have chosen the traditional construction technique, crafted exactly in the place where they originated. They naturally adapt to the shape of the foot, gently embracing it and offering exceptional comfort.

True to tradition, the sole is made of recycled rubber from bicycle tires, a choice that combines authenticity and sustainability. Originally called “zavatis”, meaning slipper, the Friulana was intended for indoor use. The addition of the rubber sole made it suitable for outdoor wear while preserving its authentic character.

We carefully value the marks of time. Here’s how to take care of your shoes:

1. Use a brush to remove dust and dirt.
2. Store the shoes in a cool, dry place.
3. After exposure to rain, let the shoes dry away from direct heat sources.
4. Apply a deodorizing or sanitizing spray inside and wait a few hours before wearing them.

Our packaging is carefully designed to reduce waste and support our artisans, using sustainable materials. Each box features an exclusive illustration by the artist, making it a limited-edition collectible piece of art.

We visited Gonars, in the province of Udine, where the production of Friulane shoes has been passed down through generations. In the past, local women would sew them by hand, joining the fabric to the sole with the “sotpont,” a stitch made from below. Today, skilled artisans continue to craft them, faithfully following the original tradition. Mary Sapotito, young like us and from the same region, is an artist we have followed and watched grow since childhood. Bringing a project to life together with her today is a true honor: it embodies the real spirit of Made in Italy, where talent, passion, and shared roots come together to create unique, timeless pieces.
