Our Friulana Soleil features a regular fit and is a timeless, classic model that always retains a touch of uniqueness and charm. It combines enduring style with exceptional comfort. The velvet we use is made from silk, a naturally soft and durable fiber. It feels smooth and luminous to the touch, with a compact, even surface, free from the irregularities typical of certain finishes. Originally reserved for garments worn on special occasions, velvet became part of everyday wear only after the 19th century, when Italian craftsmanship transformed it into a refined yet accessible fabric.REGULAR FIT This model has a regular fit. Velvet Silk

For our Friulane shoes, we have chosen the traditional construction technique, crafted exactly in the place where they originated. They naturally adapt to the shape of the foot, gently embracing it and offering exceptional comfort.

True to tradition, the sole is made of recycled rubber from bicycle tires, a choice that combines authenticity and sustainability. Originally called “zavatis”, meaning slipper, the Friulana was intended for indoor use. The addition of the rubber sole made it suitable for outdoor wear while preserving its authentic character.

We carefully value the marks of time. Here’s how to take care of your shoes:

1. Use a brush to remove dust and dirt.
2. Store the shoes in a cool, dry place.
3. After exposure to rain, let the shoes dry away from direct heat sources.
4. Apply a deodorizing or sanitizing spray inside and wait a few hours before wearing them.

We have designed our packaging to minimize waste and simplify the packing process for our artisans, selecting more sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.

We visited Gonars, in the province of Udine, where Friulane shoes have been made for generations. In the past, village women used to sew them by hand, attaching the fabric to the sole with the “sotpont,” a stitch made from underneath. Today, artisans continue to craft them following the true traditional method
